What's different about
Pekka Play and Learn®?

At Pekka Play and Learn® we take a fresh approach to teaching languages at an early age. Our experience has shown that children can best start learning a foreign language from the age of 2½.

By this age most children can already communicate well in their mother tongue, and they have no inhibitions yet about learning a foreign language. It comes almost naturally to them, and at this young age they are still incredibly quick to learn. However, we believe that deep, long-lasting knowledge can only be acquired if a child is placed in an environment where English is all around, and where they can experience a wide range of activities and situations, hearing English all the time. 45 minutes once a week is not enough. First the child needs to feel secure, relaxed and safe in their group, and then the English words will find their own way into the child's ears and heart! We offer whole morning and/or afternoon programs of activities, and the only language the teachers use is English!

This makes Pekka® different!

Children spend at least three hours together in small groups, during which time they learn without noticing that they are learning! We play and do crafts, sing and learn rhymes, all in English. With their regular groupmates and teachers, and comfortable family environment, children soon feel perfectly at home, and feel relaxed in their new "community". Our playhouse is fully equipped to keep all children interested, and thanks to its ideal location, there is plenty of opportunity for fresh air and exercise. We take excursions almost every day!
In our experience, children who take part in Pekka Play and Learn® build up a firm foundation in English knowledge by the time they start school, and this helps them greatly in later life.

Because the groups are small (maximum 7 children with two teachers), individual attention is guaranteed, and each child can advance at their own pace.

If you want to give your child the best start in learning English, then this is the place!

Hope to see you soon
